Offering a lusciously lavish multi-sensory experience, Dissecting Sebastian is the ultimate participatory live art encounter. It’s an art installation, a performance, a history lesson and a damn nice meal - all propelled by an animated convivial atmosphere.
Layer by layer, diners are mesmerized by the unfolding of a living art event running for 2 consecutive nights in mid April. Be seated on communal tables and prepare to share the unfolding of the mystery. The intoxicating event is set in a beautifully converted Edwardian Church on Vyner St in Hackney’s renowned gallery district.
The evening will be divided into three distinct acts, which in turn are interspersed with each course of the renaissance inspired menu featuring roasts and rosewater delights to compliment the elaborate visual feast presented on stage.
With 16thC Portugal as a starting point we will meet Sebastian, the tormented child King. The one who lead the country to disaster and the loss of its empire. It’s been said that since then, Portugal awaits his return from the mist to restore its glory. He may even dine with you. Then is Sebastian the Saint who, tied to a tree and stuck with arrows shows us how beautiful the suffering of others can be. And finally the tragedy of fading youthful beauty. Oh to be young and desired!
ACT I: STARTER - YOUTH
.
Goats cheese mousseline with slow roasted beetroot, parmesan and walnut crisps
ACT II : MAIN - BEAUTY

And don’t be fooled by the safety of your seat. You may be called upon to penetrate the flesh of our beautiful Saint!
In an era dominated by digital social networking we aim to offer the unmitigated tangibility of a magical live event. We urge you to get off your twitter and be touched non-virtually. Tableau Vivant is building a reputation for cutting edge live art participatory events, but you can still join our Facebook page or check our website for more details.

This is what happens when you're asked to do one thing and you get carried away finding whatever else there is that can be done in the same way... They only wanted a pin.

Life on mars

Straight out of the camera.

When will it be the day that when people see a picture they won't automatically assume it's been photoshopped? I want the edited shot to be the exception, not the rule. Be surprised when it's affected.

I'm becoming a puritan.. it'll never last
